The students of the ASPU Faculty of Art Education and the Faculty of Primary Education presented a joint concert programme during their visit to the secondary school in the village of Tairov in Armavir region.
At the event they presented classical and Armenian folk musical instruments, vocal singing, their history and general facts thereabout.
The students of the Department of Pedagogy and Methodology /elementary education/ performed within the scope of “Children’s Instruments Ensemble”, and the third year students of the faculty of Art Education, Department of Musical Education, in their turn, presented a series of famous compositions.
Children were particularly interested in children’s instruments and their application in elementary schools.
The programme was supervised by the Associate Professor of the Chair of Music, Candidate of Pedagogy Anahit Gevogyan, and the Lecturer of the Chair of Pre-School Pedagogy and Methodology Anna Simonyan.
During the concert patriotic songs were also performed commemorating the victims of the four-day war of April.
Last but not least, with this initiative high importance was given to school-university cooperation. In future, the school-children will visit the ASPU Museum and the school’s choir will perform a concert program therein.
