Vladimir Karapetyan, Professor, Doctor of Psychology, Head of the Chair of Age and Pedagogical Psychology of the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology, and Lilit Mayilyan, a specialist of the same Chair, visited two high schools in Armenia’s Vanadzor city - School N5 after Vahan Teryan and School N17 after Movses Khorenatsi.
During the career orientation visit, the ASPU representatives introduced to some 80 pupils of both schools the Pedagogical University and its Faculties, gave a general introduction to the professional field, described the mission of teachers and presented in detail the specialties offered by the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology.
In particular, they presented the opportunities that will enable the applicants of the Faculty to discover and demonstrate their abilities, making them compliant with the requirements of the labour market.
Pupils asked the guests a number of questions related to the professions of the Faculty and their peculiarities.
The organizers of the visit said they will arrange more meetings with the University representatives to form a stable position among applicants in the choice of future career.
