The results of the a two-week internship organized by ASPU, the Artas Foundation (artasfoundation) and Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) were summed up on April 8.
Certificates were awarded to the students and lectures who participated in the joint programme of ASPU, University of Basel and Zurich University of the Arts, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Switzerland), Ilia State University (Georgia) and Abkhaz State University.
Within the framework of the exchange programme, they attended classes of the Fine Arts Department and got acquainted with peculiarities of teaching methods. Within the framework of the internship, the group also visited a number of public schools, attended fine arts classes and participated in the process of developing the "Fine Arts" course.
They also divided into groups to work on the main principles of teaching fine arts and did a comparative analysis of Fine Arts education programmes in Armenian and Swiss universities.
The cooperation between ASPU, the Artas Foundation and the Zurich University of the Arts started in 2019, has been further strengthened by the signing of a new memorandum of cooperation. The document envisages promotion of cooperation between the educational institutions through implementation of students and faculty exchange programmes, as well as a number of other short-term and long-term programmes.
Based on the opinion of the programme participants, President of the Artas Foundation Dagmar Reichart considers the cooperation with ASPU effective.
In a conversation with old.aspu.am, Naira Mkhitaryan and Haykuhi Mukoyan, lecturers of the Chair of Fine Arts of the Faculty of Art Education, both participants of the programme,said they will soon share the Swiss experience and new teaching methodology with their colleagues, trying to localize what they have learned abroad.
Let us add that within the framework of the programme nine students of the Faculty of Art Education and two lecturers of the Chair of Fine Arts paid a two-week visit to the Zurich University of the Arts from February 20 to March 5.
Later on, from March 28 to April 8, a group of students from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, University of Basel and Zurich University of the Arts, Ilia State University (Georgia) and Abkhaz State University were at the Faculty of Art Education, ASPU
