The Faculty of History and Law prepared the yearbook of “History and Sociology” for publication; it is a collection of scientific articles which is going to be published once a year and will be comprised of articles in Armenian, Russian and English languages.
In the first issue of the yearbook, 20 articles from corresponding specialists are included, four of which were sent from abroad.
The yearbook is published in compliance with the requirements defined by the SCC and upon the publication of the first issue it will be provided to the SCC to be included into the list of scientific journals.
According to the chief editor of the yearbook, the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law Edgar Hovhannisyan the collection will give an opportunity to activate research life at the Faculty, contribute to the development of science at the Faculty and in the University, strengthen connection with research institutes in Armenia, as well as will give an opportunity to the lecturers to publish the results of their studies.
The responsible secretary for the collection of articles Samvel Poghosyan, in his turn, added that very often PhD, MA and BA students were facing difficulties in the process of publishing scientific articles.
“The yearbook subject for publication will contribute to the solution of this problem and raise professional interest among students, as well as will foster strengthening of academic relations among research institutions of Armenia”.
The responsible figures are sure that the yearbook will also strengthen the international relations of the Faculty as it is foreseen to publish articles of representatives of foreign research institutes in Russian and English languages.
