KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan welcomed the winning team of the Pedagogical University in the female Futsal competition.

The Rector congratulated the sportswomen happily noticing that the meetings had become traditional after every victory, after which he promised that the winning team would spend the upcoming trainings on a natural grass field at the University’s educational base in Aghavnadzor.

In addition, once again highlighting the importance of sports at the University Rouben Mirzakhanyan assured that the university where sports and physical training have solid basis, also triumphs in the educational process; the two support and accomplish each other.

“Our success raises great motivation among the students; continue replenishing the team and in close future there will be an opportunity to try the sports abilities in a competition with the Moscow State Pedagogical University team.”

Among those present at the meeting was the ASPU Head of the Chair of Chess and Sports Mr. Smbat Lputyan who couldn’t hide his pride and excitement and emphasized that in the basis of each and every triumph lays the hard work and dedication.

“It’s already the second year that football brings us support; once again this stands for the fair victory that you spread towards your favourite sports. Victory is appreciated and is achieved through a unified work”, mentioned the grandmaster and urged them to continue cheering the sports -lovers up with new victories, to motivate other students of the University, and to give new opportunities for the University to be proud.”

In her turn, the student of the Faculty of Art Education Greta Grigoryan has been the team leader of the female football team for already four years. Upon admission to the University Greta does not hide that even though the excitement of first triumph is different, still, double victory has been much more awaited; it is extremely important to preserve the title of a winner.

“Despite the fact that we have been competing with one of the strongest teams – the Team of the Pedagogical University of Vanadzor, still we won thanks to our solidarity and clear tactics”, the sportswoman mentioned during her interview to the old.aspu.am.

Barsghyan Yelena is a newcomer in the team, and as a future journalist it has been difficult to persuade the family that she would like to take up football. Nevertheless, as result of long discussions, Yelena is in the strongest football team today. She assures that they will continue the team fight and expand the geographical borders.
