KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan welcomed the University’s female volleyball team. Recently the team participated in the “Rector’s Cup” Championship organized by the Moscow State Pedagogical University, where they won the University’s cup.

Highlighting the success achieved in sports, the Head of the University congratulated the winning team members and thoroughly discussing the upcoming activities.

In addition, Rouben Mirzakhanyan called for the female volleyball team to train and have new victories. Besides, he noted that the Moscow State Pedagogical University and other cooperative universities’ teams will visit Armenia in near future.

“Even though students of different years and various specializations have been involved here, however, they are united by the love towards this sport and their native University, and this doubles the possibility of success”, mentioned the trainer of the team Zara Petrosyan

Afterwards, the ASPU female volleyball team leader Amina Araqelyan added that despite the existing tension and excitement, the collective spirit is always helping to train more intensively and to obtain complicated but expected victories.

Similarly, the team leader noticed that participation in the “Rector’s Cup” Championship, organized at the Moscow State Pedagogical University, was a special experience that helped them to mark good results for the ongoing intercollegiate games.

University, the Pedagogical University’s female volleyball team reached the Final game.

In the Final decisive game the team from the University after Abovyan competed with the team from the MSPU Faculty of Biology and Chemistry, where they scored 3:2 and won the Cup from the Moscow State Pedagogical University.

The Rector bid farewell to the students and awarded them an illustrated album introducing the history and chronology of the University, together with other gifts.
