A few days ago, a theatrical performance called “Road to Independence” was staged by the students of the “Prkutyun”/ “Salvation” NGO at the ASPU Faculty of Culture.
The event was organized by the joint initiative of the Pedagogical University’s Students Council and “Salvation” NGO led by the slogan “On the international day of persons with disabilities- next to person with disabilities”.
During the performance children with special needs filled the audience with feelings of admiration and double pride by presenting heroic episodes from both the Artsakh battle and the four-day war of April.
Once again the performance proved that children are as powerful and strong, and ready to overcome all challenges just like soldiers, and to stay optimistic.
In her interview to the old.aspu.am the President of the Social Committee of the Student Council Ani Khachatryan mentioned that students also realized the importance of organizing such events.
“As future Pedagogues we should first of all support access of persons with certain issues to society, listen to their problems, do as much as possible, to fill their life with new colours and to help them overcome the difficulties.”
We would like to remind that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is marked on 3 December.
