The 2017-2018 academic year educational process has been launched for the PhD students and Applicants at the Pedagogical University; within this scope a meeting with the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan was organized today.
The Rector thoroughly introduced with the University’s daily expanding international relations and deep cooperation that the ASPU had developed with the World’s classical and most progressive universities.
In his turn, the Director of the University’s Research Centre Kamo Vardanyan spoke about the start of the process, the policy adopted by the University, new format of learning processes for PhD students and Applicants.
“Subjects, that would allow future scientists to get better oriented and to demonstrate special attitude towards scientific outcomes, have been stressed out”, mentioned the Director of the Research Centre and noticed that new disciplines had been included in the list of selective courses; this approach was demonstrated in the contemporary European postgraduate educational system.
The Director of the Research Centre noticed that in the current year one subject had been included into the postgraduate professional educational system; the University has 7 distant-learning PhD students, 31 Applicants, which is twice more than last year.
“Applicants of the Pedagogical University are mostly experienced professionals of other Universities or Institutions, and the academic Faculty consists of professors and lecturers with huge scientific experience involved in the teaching process.”
In addition, for the PhD students and Applicants the Google Classroom online platform will also be introduced, and this was thoroughly presented last week.
Among those present at the meeting the RA NAS Associate Professor, Doctor of Philology, Professor Aelita Dolukhanyan, a former ASPU PhD gradute, was also present at the meeting. The Professor urged for the students, having selected the sphere of science, to walk in line with the World’s progress, and in addition to mastering the native language and professional skills, to also learn foreign languages, and never do plagiarism. “Science has no stop”, mentioned the Professor.
The Head of the Chair of Professional Education and Applied Pedagogy, Doctor of Pedagogy Aida Topuzyan noted the following, “A new phase is kicking off in your life which is mutually important. We need to be ready to carry on the mission entrusted to them, to be able to make self-realisation in science with your unique ideas.”
And last but not least, the ASPU Applicant Taguhi Makaryan assured on behalf of her friends and herself that they would pass the road towards science with honour.
