A series of theoretical seminars kicked off within the framework of the International Day of Philosophy; the seminars cover the subject areas of “History and Philosophy of Science” and “Scientific Research Methodology” and their teaching peculiarities.
In his report Professor of the Saint Petersburg State Economic University Chair of Sociology and Social Work and the ASPU Chair of Philosophy and Logic after Gevorg Brutyan Qajik Ohanyan referred to the issues of science research and methodology.
According to the Professor, there are certain definitions that are common to all researches, as well as there are some other definitions, specific to only certain field of study.
“During this series of seminars we will be leading through the way towards individual issues and will demonstrate all forms and methods of tools that the PhD students should master”.
In addition, Professor Ohanyan assures that within the scope of trainings on “History and Philosophy of Science” and “Scientific Research Methodology” they would be able to touch upon matters laying the core of science and philosophy in order to form a deeper and more consolidated opinion.
In her turn, the Vice –Rector for Academic Affairs Srbouhi Gevorgyan outlined the topic brought up by the professor, which would give the opportunity to refer to the selection and definition of the topic for a scientific work in the context of changes in modern field of science. Besides, the Vice-Rector expressed her hope for the series of seminars to enrich the traditional approaches of the field, as well as to be an effective platform for dialogues among the PhD students, Candidates, and all those interested in the field of science.
