Professor David Soto of the University of A Coruña, Spain, will deliver lectures at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) as part of an Erasmus+ exchange program.
During the meeting with future historians and social scientists the Spanish professor elaborated on a number of issues, including: what is the European Union? When was the EU formed and why? What are the criteria for joining the EU? What is the mission of the structure?
David Soto is visiting Armenia for the first time. He says he is the second professor from the University of A Coruña to visit ASPU. He heard about ASPU from Artak Mkrtchyan, an Armenian by descent, a graduate of ASPU, a professor at the University of A Coruña and a Doctor of Law.
The professor believes that the week-long lectures will be effective and will armArmenian students with new and necessary professional knowledge.
Edgar Hovhannisyan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Social Sciences at ASPU, once again emphasized the need for international cooperation and close cooperation with leading universities and voiced hope that the scope of partnership between the two universities will expand in the future. He hopes the sides will also organize student exchange programs.
