Start of Annual Armenian History Olympiad Announced

For the third year in a row, the Faculty of History and Law of Armenian State Pedagogical University has been organizing Armenian History Olympiad which features 11th-12th form pupils from high and secondary schools across Armenia.

Over 200 pupils from Yerevan and marzes have applied to participate in the Olympiad.

Divided into different groups, the participants will try to demonstrate their knowledge during the two-day event. The winners will receive certificates and prizes as well as 50 percent discount of tuition fee in case they study at the ASPU Faculty of History and Law.

Before the start of the Olympiad, the participants, their parents and teachers visited the ASPU Museum and got acquainted with the history and important events of the University.

The students were welcomed by Edgar Hovhannisyan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law. On behalf of the ASPU leadeship, the latter said that they are always ready to cooperate with schoolchildren in different areas and listen to their proposals.

High quality education, well-equipped and refurbished auditoriums, various exchange programs with foreign universities, unchangeable tuition fees, etc… Edgar Hovhannisyan presented the advantages of studying at the Pedagogical University and added that the University offers wide opportunities especially to students with high academic performance.

“Let the best and the strongest win,” Mr. Hovhannisyan said wishing success to all participants. The results of the Olympiad will also be published on the official website of the University.
