The Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) hosted the 4th Student Scientific Conference under the title “Psychological Research”, gathering students from other Armenian universities as well.
The scientific conference began with opening remarks by Dean of the Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology Ruzan Petrosyan and Lilit Lachinyan, Acting Head of the Chair of Psychology after academician M. Mazmanyan.
Ruzan Petrosyan welcomed the opening of the already traditional student scientific conference and emphasized that this serves as a major step on the path leading to science and as the best platform for presenting studies that help create opportunities for the development of research mindset allowing students to become good professionals in the future.
The Dean was thoroughly introduced to the students’ works and said there are good studies. She urged the students to take the path towards science, adding that such platforms help teach students how to make the transition from theory to practice. “Research compels one to think about how theory can be applied in practice. Involvement in science is not an easy process,” Ruzan Petrosyan remarked and wished the students fruitful discussions.
Acting Head of the Chair of Psychology Lilit Lachinyan congratulated the students and underscored the interest that is shown in the scientific conference every year and the participants’ activism.
She attached importance to the scientific conference also from the perspective of presenting the graduation works recapping the two years of the Master’s Degree Program, adding that this will provide students with the opportunity to defend their respective graduation works with more confidence.
During the 4th Student Scientific Conference under the title “Psychological Research”, two dozens of students delivered speeches in which they touched upon the emotional sphere of children with endocrine system disorders, the psychological features of a person as a precondition for gambling addiction, the addiction of adolescents to computers and the correlation of relations in the family, the impact of emotional intelligence in the adaptation of a high school student, etc.
Certificates were granted to the students at the end of the scientific conference.
