On April 20, the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Armenian State Pedagogical University hosted Angela Nerenz and Shushan Tadevosyan, representatives of the DAAD Information Center in Yerevan.
DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) offers scholarships to students, graduates, researchers, academics for a study or research visit to Germany. Angela Nerenz and Shushan Tadevosyan visited the Universiy to familiarize ASPU students and teaching staff members with study opportunities in Germany, as well as the courses and programmes offered by the DAAD. Students can apply for summer course scholarships at a German university while graduates can continue their study in Germany by applying for study scholarships [for graduates] of all disciplines.
Angela Nerenz and Shushan Tadevosyan also presented programmes and courses meant for post-graduate students, young professionals and experiences academics which will enable them to do research at universities in Germany. Within the framework of the programmes, applicants are given an opportunity to establish contacts with professors from German universities.
The meeting was attended by students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, as well as students of other faculties, who are studying German as a foreign language.
Let us add that Marine Harutyunyan, a second-year student of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and Naira Khachatryan, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of History and Law, have won scholarships and will attend a summer language course in Germany this year.
