The participants of the “Summer School 2017” project continue to discover the picturesque and historical sites of Armenia. On the third day of the project the rich past and historical heritage of our country was introduced to the students.
The young people visited the Pagan temple of Garni, after which they continued their way to the Geghard medieval monastic complex in Armenia.
In both places of important historical and cultural meaning the Dean of the ASPU Faculty of History and Law Edgar Hovhannisyan presented the foreign visitors with the history and significance of establishment of the temple and the monastic complex in the life of Armenian nation and Armenia.
“I am deeply attracted by the nature of your country; you have beautiful mountains and very unique churches located therein. And people living here are very friendly. At the beginning of the project I was very excited, we communicated a lot and got really close with the participants”, Ksenia Rogova from Saint Petersburg mentioned in her interview to the old.aspu.am.
Moreover, Laura Mtskute and Ineta Yanusevskaya, students from Lithuania, were also impressed with what they saw during their visits to Garni and Geghard.
“These are indescribably beautiful places; I can hardly mention a single construction that I loved more out of all that we have seen in the recent fours days. And I am sure I will still be having the same feelings in the upcoming days.” highlighted the student of the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences Ineta Yanusevskaya.
The fourth day of the project was also just as full as the previous ones; on this occasion, the students had a trip to the Tavush region and visited the international school of Dilijan where the participants got acquainted with the mission of the educational centre, its goals and objectives, learning processes, and taught courses.
Next in turn, the student of the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University Katerina Shestitko and the other participants of the project were impressed and astonished with the creative architectural solutions applied on to the international school, students’ lifestyle and the environment.
“When I return to Belarus I am going to definitely tell my friends of what I saw. I would really like our universities and schools also be like this. It is a true pleasure to study here”, mentioned Katarina Shestitko.
Last but not least the students also went to the Dilijan community centre, where the specialists introduced them with the center’s activities, operations and achievements.
Further on, another six days of interesting and meaningful trips are arranged for the participants of the “Summer School”; the project will still be quite ample.
