Summer School 2025 comes to an end

The closing ceremony of the International Summer School 2025 was held at Aghavnadzor-based training center of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU).

This year too the program brought to Armenia students from leading partner universities from Russia. Around 50 participants of the summer school spent an unforgettable and eventful week in different corners of Armenia.
Under the auspices of the ASPU leadership and thanks to the joint efforts of the Center for International Cooperation and Program Management and the Student Council, everyone had a successful summer school program, which became the best platform for student interaction, cultural dialogue, youth activity and individual creativity, combining educational and cognitive initiatives, educational and sports activities in students’ daily life.

As the organizers said later, teamwork was the key to the success. Welcoming the participants of the international summer school, Marianna Harutyunyan, Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation at ASPU, said they are happy that this year too the participants had had unforgettable days: memories of interesting events and the feelings associated with them are crucial in life.

"It is very important how you start the new academic year. I am sure that you will take warm memories [with you] to your cities. Nothing can destroy the friendship between the Armenian and Russian peoples. We are always happy to host you in our small but wonderful Armenia. Keep these beautiful memories of our wonderful country in the corners of your hearts," Marianna Harutyunyan said in her speech.

The Vice-Rector assured everyone that tremendous work had been done to ensure the success of the program. She then hailed the efforts of Anna Hakhumyan, Deputy Director of the Center for International Cooperation and Program Management who was responsible for the program coordination.
Anna Hakhumyan added in turn that every year the program undergoes substantive changes. So do the participants. This year, students from Armavir Pedagogical University of the Russian Federation joined the program for the first time.
Anna Hakhumyan says though the program lasts 7 days, they work all year round to organize it properly. A large number of participants from leading universities apply to participate in the summer school.

President of the ASPU Student Council Paruyr Galstyan, says every year the program is unique in its own way: the participants are different too. “We introduce students from partner universities to Armenian culture, providing them not only with theoretical knowledge, but also organizing visits to the sights of our beautiful country. During the past sevent days, we visited Goshavank, Haghartsin, Sevan Monastery, Kecharis, Garni, Geghard, and had a zipline tour. Also, we spent two days to show the program participants Yerevan the capital of Armenia,” he said.

The head of the Student Coucnil emphasizes the importance of visits to cultural sites; that's how visiting guests discover Armenia. Through feedback, they understand that the program participants leave Armenia and the summer school organized by ASPU with unforgettable impressions. “This is the result of great teamwork and effective collaboration: we work with different departments of the University, and the program is really a success," he stressed.

All days spent in Aghavnadzor were busy and full of events. On the last day the participants introduced their cities and universities.

Maxim Chernoukhov is a 2nd year student taking an international business program in World Economics at Ural Federal University. When sharing his impressions of Armenia and ASPU he said that wonderful people study and work there and he already has friends among them. Before coming to Armenia, he didn't have any Armenian friends, but now he has many friends among Armenians. In Armenia, they have taken care of him and always been by his side.

It is difficult for Maxim to single out any of the days spent in Armenia: all of them were full of different events. He is grateful to the leadership of ASPU and the Institute of Economics and Management of Ural Pedagogical University for the opportunity to visit Armenia and participate in such a wonderful program, and for the opportunity to get acquainted with the wonderful country and its people.

Narine Saghatelyan, a 4th-year student at ASPU taking a distance course at the Faculty of Philology will soon obtain her fourth specialty. She confesses that everything is well organized. She says it is interesting to see representatives of different nationalities gather and try to find solutions to different issues.

At the end of the program, Marianna Harutyunyan, ASPU Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation, presented certificates to the program participants.

Participants of the "Summer School-2025" program will take with them warm and bright memories about Armenia.
