Summer School participants visit Pázmány Péter Catholic University in Hungary

From August 21 to September 2, a group of students of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) visited Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Hungary, within the framework of the Summer School 2016 international programme.

As soon as they arrived in Hungary, the students were welcomed and accommodated in comfortable rooms, given coupons for using free public transport in any direction and at any time.

On August 22, the participants of the Summer School programme were introduced to the content of the exchange programme and schedule of the next several days: the general courses lasted until 4:30p.m., and the students were free after that.

Hungarian language courses were organized for the programme participants in Piliscsaba, a town in Budapest metropolitan area, Hungary, for ten times: 22 lectures were devoted to the art, sociology and history of Hungary and five lectures to the Faculty. The courses were followed by video presentations and a final conference.

In addition, visits were arranged to Esztergom, a city in northern Hungary, Hungarian National Museum and House of Terror Museum, Hungarian National Gallery, etc.

The ASPU students also participated in different events organized by their Hungarian peers, met foreign students and exchanged impressions. “The most important thing was that we identified landmarks on a map and were able to find the location of the most important places ourselves. The programme was indeed unprecedented and meaningful,” the participants of the Summer School programme told old.aspu.am upon their return from Hungary.
