KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Lilit Khloyan, an English language teacher at the Basic College of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), participated in the English Language Teachers' summer seminar offered by the University of Oxford.

Next to the participants from dozens of countries she was the only representative of Armenia which was not only a professional achievement, but also a great responsibility.

Lilit Khloyan says every lecture, workshop, and dialogue reminded her that she is not just an English language teacher, but also an ambassador representing her country's culture, education, and language. “The presentation of Armenia's experience and viewpoint enriched the discussions, emphasizing the importance of diversity and mutual recognition in the modern education system. With its rich history of libraries and unique spirit of the academic environment, Oxford became much more than just a seminar venue. It confirmed that knowledge and learning can overcome all borders, uniting people around a common goal," she said.

Lilit Khloyan says she has returned to Armenia with new ideas, rich resources, and valuable connections with international colleagues, which will serve her professional development, specifically education of her students for a long time.

She says the most valuable conviction is that Armenia has its rightful place in global dialogues.
