The ASPU Rector Welcomed the Delegation from Hungary

Today, the Pedagogical University welcomed the delegation from Pázmány Péter Catholic University consisting of the University’s Dean of the Faculty of Humanities Georgi Fedor, the Director of the Institute of History Sandor Ozeni, the Researcher of the Leipzig University of Germany, Doctor Balint Kovach, as well as the lecturer of archeology Wagner Zolt.

During the working meeting with the guests the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan expressed his contentment for the cooperation with one of the oldest educational institutions of Europe, as well as thanked the Rector Suromi Sabolch for the exceptional lecture delivered at the Pedagogical University.

The Rector introduced the University’s operations and directions mentioning that it was the second largest educational establishment in the RA where they trained multi-profile specialists and the Pedagogical University had the monopoly in providing education in those areas.
“The cooperation between the two Universities has been set; I am happy that there are still a number of programmes that create serious prospect of collaborative work today.”

In his turn, the Dean of the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Humanities, Specialists of Oriental Studies Georgi Fyodor did not hide that long ago he had a desire to visit Armenia, that he was interested with Armenian language, History and Literature of Armenia.
Likewise, the Hungarian guest highlighted the cooperation between both Universities mentioning that in order to better stipulate and impede it, a visit from the Pedagogical University was being expected.

“You will be a desired and honorable guest at our University; we are looking forward to welcoming you at an important event for the University- the Ceremony of Awarding the Degrees; similarly, we are looking forward to your lectures.

Furthermore, Georgi Fyodor expressed his hope that the parties would be able to cooperate within the scope of the European programme of Credit mobility. In addition, during the meeting, the parties shared opinions regarding the summer school procedures, discussed issues referring to the preconditions for the development of the Chair on Armenian Studies and research activities.

To conclude, the representatives of the ASPU and the Pázmány Péter Catholic University exchanged with symbolic presents.
