The President of the Republic of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan welcomed the delegation of the Pedagogical University headed by the ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan.
A number of questions in regards with the training of pedagogical staff in Artsakh, as well as cooperation between the Armenian State Pedagogical University and the Artsakh State University were discussed during the meeting.
The Pedagogical University’s Delegation also visited the mother university of Artsakh, where they met the academic staff and students. This visit aims at expanding the cooperation between both Universities and at outlining further activities.
The Universities have been in cooperation since 2014, while during the recent year the activities have been much more coordinated, including mutual visits, participation of the studnets of the Artsakh State University in the “Summer School” international project organized by the Pedagogical, and regular training sessions arranged by the ASPU lecturers.
Moreover, during the meeting a mutual agreement was made to continue and expand cooperation in the spheres of both trainings and special education.
The ASPU Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan highlighted the role of the Pedagogical University in the academic life of the Republic of Artsakh observing that this Pedagogical smithy would have its active participation in various areas.
Likewise, Rouben Mirzakhanyan was glad to mention that in the “Summer School” project the students of the Artsakh State University were always outstanding for their activity and high level of intellect out of all students coming from 8 countries.
“We are ready to involve the University’s academic staff and students in various international programmes and to demonstrate methodological assistance.”
By the support of the Pedagogical University the first steps of establishing a Psychological Support Centre at the Artsakh State University have already been made. The road map for the establishment of the Centre has already been set.
“Upon planning up certain steps and actions, as well as by raising the needs and involving required specialists, practical steps will be drafted up and already implemented in near future”, the ASPU Vice-Rector Srbouhi Gevorgyan mentioned during the meeting.
