The Spirit of Independence in Students’ Works

Today, the lobby of the main corpus of the Pedagogical University was in an autumn mood.

The 3rd year BA students of the Department of Elementary Pedagogy and Methodology, Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology of the Faculty of Primary Education demonstrated their works prepared during the course of Fine Arts Teaching Methods.

The fall exhibition headed “The Spirit of Independence”, which was also attended by the teachers and pupils of the ASPU Base College and Yerevan #2 High-School, was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia.

Within the scope of their creative imagination the future pedagogues reflected their ideas, emotions and feelings in regards with independence and freedom.

With their flesh-mob and works prepared with the application of various techniques, the students once again proved that autumn is a unique artist, herewith, advising the students to use the vibrant palette of nature, to create and simply enjoy the fall spirit.

The Associate Professor of the Chair of Fine Arts Janna Khachatryan mentioned in her interview to the old.aspu.am that she had guided the students only in terms of a specific approaches and patterns.

“Year by year students are becoming more independent, more creative, filled with bright imagination and great efforts to develop themselves and to succeed in professional life”, mentioned the Associate Professor and proudly added that the idea of exhibiting the works came from the students themselves.

Once again, Janna Khachatryan highlighted the importance for future pedagogues to organise such initiatives and exhibitions as it was due to the pedagogical activity aimed at improving children’s development that their capabilities, skills and inner-world were discovered.

“We should not exclude the fact, that future painters are identified already at that period.”

Last but not least, after the exhibition, the guests of the event, including the teachers and pupils, also visited the Faculty of Primary Education, the ASPU Museum and the reading halls. As well as, the pupils participated in the professional orientation seminar, watched extracts of the program “The Success Formula” about the specialisations offered by the Faculty.

In their turn, the students of the Faculty of Primary Education presented hand-made thematic gifts to the guests.
