On November 14, Ruben Mirzakhanyan, Rector of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), received Belen Enciso, Project Officer from the Education Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), Lana Karlova, Program Coordinator of the National Erasmus+ Office in Armenia (NEO-Armenia) and Edith Sogomonyan, a specialist at the NEO-Armenia.
Mr. Mirzakhanyan expressed his gratitude for entrusting the coordination of the programme to ASPU, underlining the importance of the programme content.
He stressed the importance of two factors - internationalization of higher education and turning the institution into a research institute - for the development of the country’s education system, particularly ASPU.
“The programme is of great interest for our education system. Our University has some success and achievements in this context. ASPU has coordinated some programmes aimed at promoting the internationalization of higher education,” Ruben Mirzakhanyan said. He added that the University highlights the creation of a common platform within the framework of the project, organization of conferences during which agreements are reached and practical steps are taken.
The guests thanked for the reception and emphasized ASPU’s participation in various international programmes. Lana Karlova also hailed cooperation with ASPU and expressed hope that the cooperation network that is expected to be established in the near future will be effective and productive.
Belen Enciso said that there are many applicants from Armenia. She added that ASPU shows a serious approach to the programme and successfully coordinates it. “Taking into account ASPU’s constructive approach and effective coordination of the programme, we would encourage you to apply for other programmes as well. ASPU has successful experience in coordinating programmes,” she stressed.
In his turn, Ruben Mirzakhanyan added that they are optimistic considering the achievements of previous programmes.
