From 1 to 10 February, a group of Armenian schoolchildren participated in the XIX International Zhautykov Olympiad (IZhO). More than 1300 children from 25 countries participated in the Olympiad which was held online.
Armenia was represented by 7 teams consisting of 45 participants from of four educational institutions.
Pupils of the Physics and Mathematics Specialized School named after Artashes Shahinyan won 14 medals during the event - 2 gold, 4 silver, 8 bronze medals.
The school teams were also supervised by Gurgen Asatryan, an assistant at the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods at ASPU, who also works at the Physics and Mathematics Specialized School after A. Shahinyan.
