Training at museums in Berlin

As a result of cooperation between the Museum Education Center and German Museums Association, eleven specialists of the sphere, among them senior researcher of Armenian State Pedagogical University Marianna Manucharyan, underwent training at museums in Berlin from 3 to 9 July.

The training course, meetings with German colleagues and professional discussions gave the visiting specialists a full picture of museum collections and exhibitions, design and implementation of educational programmes for different age groups.

They were also effective in terms of revealing and attracting the potential of visitors, facilitating the work and cooperation with residents living near museums.

Meetings were also held at FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum of the Network of European Museum Organizations (NEMO), Anne Frank Educational Centre, Martin-Gropius-Bau art museum, Museum of Contemporary Art and German Historical Museum.

Talking to old.aspu.am, Marianna Manucharyan said the training was effective and added that the Museum Education Center carries out its mission in the best possible way and supports practical, theoretical and experimental activities of Armenian museums.
