From 23-29 June, within the framework of the Project “Boosting Strategy and Marketing for Internationalization of Armenian Universities”/BOOST/ of the Erasmus+ action for Capacity Building in Higher Education Field, 29 representatives participated in a training session, an internationalisation week, and project coordinating meeting at the University of Rovira i Virgili in Spain.
Among the Armenian participants attending this initiative were representatives from the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan, American University of Armenia, Shirak State University, Vanadzor State University, Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, and the National Centre for Academic Recognition and Mobility.
During the one-week training the participants were introduced with the structure, strategy, current activities of the University of Rovira i Virgili, as well as each institution presented the ongoing activities and structure of the Departments of International Affairs of their universities.
Likewise, the participants had the opportunity to participate in Erasmus+ SUCTI project conference, coordinated by the University of Rovira i Virgili of Spain. The Erasmus+ SUCTI project is aimed at boosting internationalisation among administrative staff members of universities.
The training sessions were followed by the project coordination meeting, during which the project results and outcomes, as well as the scope of future activities of the project were discussed.
Further on, the already trained participants will be conducting similar training sessions for Armenian participants.
Last but not least, we would like to mention, that the Armenian State Pedagogical University is the coordinator of the Project for “Boosting Strategy and Marketing for Internationalization of Armenian Universities”/BOOST/ funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme.
