Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Higher Education Capacity Building Activities, the representatives of the Armenian Universities, including the ASPU, participated in trainings at the Technical University of Lisbon.
The representatives of the Pedagogical University participating in the training, organized within the scope of the project on “Boosting the Armenian Universities Internationalisation Strategy and Marketing /BOOST/” were the Advisor to the Vice-Rector for Employment and International Cooperation Matters Christina Tsaturyan, the Head of the Department of International Cooperation Marianna Harutyunyan, Specialist Raisa Avetyan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law Edgar Hovhannisyan and the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Ani Sahakyan.
The training aimed at boosting marketing capacities and skills for universities’ internationalisation, considering internationalisation as a target from the perspective of increasing the visibility of every university on the international arena and the ranking thereof inside their countries.
The participants got familiarised with the foreign practice of various European countries, which will further serve as a ground for localisation of that practice and conducting realistic benchmarking.
The trainees visited the house-museum of Galust Gyulbenkyan, where they were welcomed by the Director of Armenian Communities Department.
The training was followed by the project coordination meeting during which the project outcomes and accomplishments were discussed together with the scope of future activities.
As a matter of fact, the trained specialists will be providing similar training sessions for the participants in Armenia.
We would like to remind that the Armenian State Pedagogical University is the Project Coordinator, and that the project is funded by the European Union Erasmus+ programme.
