Tricolour Fireworks

On 20 September, the secondary school N57 at the Pedagogical University was in a festive mood. The school backyard was turned into colourful fireworks. The 2nd – 5th grade pupils turned the events on the Independence Day into a great holiday. By presenting a beautiful bouquet of children’s songs dedicated to Armenia and the homeland, to the pupils performed for their teachers, parents, guests and senior friends. By mixing recitations, songs, and national dances, they filled the schoolyard and the surrounding with bold and proportional movements and spontaneous joy.

“You are a happy generation to be living in an independent and free motherland, enjoying the fruits of independence, which has been the centuries’ dream of Armenian people. I would like to congratulate all of us on this holiday and wish to live in love and warmth, to learn and to create in free and independent country of Armenia.

The Director of the Armenian Sunday School “Veratsnund” [Renaissance] of Moscow Ms. Shoghik Pahlevanyan greeted those present with a wonderful poem by Hamo Sahyan.

The guests spend pleasant time at this event, organised by the joint efforts of the teachers of the abovementioned school Tatev Abrahamyan, Azniv Barghamyan, Geghama Khudaverdyan, Frida Yeritsyan, and others.

Moreover, the sky balls, decorated with the colours of the Armenia flag announced the end of the festive event; the pupils released the sky-balls, filled with colourful wishes and dreams, to fly in endless blue and cloudless sky.

The children stamped their hands, dyed in tricolour, on the ground floor walls of the school, which will still remind about this beautiful and festive day for a long while.
