794 students of universities of Armenia received reimbursement of tuition fees from the Armenian Youth Foundation and by the support of the RA Government in two separate programmes.
652 of all students, having received certificates, were full-time BA students of state and private universities, who were not included into the list of state financed students; they will receive reimbursement as a result of a competition. These are students with high academic progress, coming from socially vulnerable families or families with only one parent, as well as students that demonstrated social activity.
Within this scope, 95 students received reimbursement.
Meanwhile, according to the second programme, by the decision of the RA Government reimbursement of tuition fees was provided without a competition to 142 full-time BA freshmen of state, private and interstate universities coming from families in RA border communities and receiving social support.
The RA Prime-Minister Hovik Abrahamyan granted the students with certificates and observed that once again the programme strengthened the effective cooperation between the RA Government and the Armenian Youth Foundation.
Likewise, the Prime Minister mentioned that by the supervision on the President of the country, the Government does all that is possible for the students to be able to receive knowledge despite social issues.
In his turn, the Coordinator of the Board of Trustee of the Armenian Youth Foundation Karen Avagyan highlighted that the opportunities of solving students’ educational issues are increasing yearly.
We would also like to mention that the Armenian Youth Foundation has been implementing the programmes of reimbursement of tuition fees by the support of the RA Government since 2011; since then, approximately 5000 students have received reimbursement of tuition fees.
