The Pedagogical University allows students in various disciplines, as well as those from different accredited universities to obtain parallel education at full-time and distant-learning courses simultaneously both in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
From now on, the procedure of parallel higher education will give the opportunity to the full-time students to take distant-learning courses at the University, and for the distant-learning students to take full- time courses at the same time.
In his interview to the old.aspu.am, the ASPU Vice-Rector Mher Melick –Bakhshyan mentioned that even in the past the combination of full-time and other forms of education had not been banned by the law on higher and postgraduate professional education, but this particular procedure set the general terms and conditions therefor.
“Such forms of education are always paid and are formed in credit learning system, and the course differences and separate modules can be considered as academic debts”, mentioned the Vice Rector.
Likewise, the latter added that the person, who applied for a second higher professional education, in case of availability of the relevant credits, could be relieved of certain modules of the given course, if he had already passed them in the scope of the previous academic programme. As well as, he will be obliged to pay for the tuition of only those courses that he will be taking, according to one credit of the given course at the ASPU.
