Upon the initiative of the International Cooperation Unit of Armenian State Pedagogical University, a meeting was organized with EducationUSA Adviser Shushanna Abovyan and Fulbright Scholar alumnus Nver Khachaturyan.
During the meeting with ASPU students and lecturers, Shushanna Abovyan presented the activity of the EducationUSA Armenia and the services available for students aiming for U.S. higher education, adding that the U.S. Embassy administers a variety of educational and cultural programs and the costs are covered by the United States.
“The U.S. Embassy gives preference to programs which are of great importance to Armenia,” said Nver Khachatryan, who conducted his post-doctoral research at New Jersey Institute of Technology within the framework of “We Share” project.
Nver Khachatryan spoke about his U.S. experience on research methodology, as well as about types of research, goals and methods, and difference of methods. He stressed the importance of cooperation in achieving success in science. His speech was followed by a question-and-answer (Q&A) session.
EducationUSA Armenia in partnership with American Councils Armenia and the U.S. Embassy Yerevan continues "We Share" project that was initiated years ago by the U.S. Embassy Yerevan and U.S. Alumni Association of Armenia. "We Share" aims to bring alumni of different U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs who share their knowledge and experience with the students and lecturers of different universities of Armenia.
