KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Within the scope of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the ASPU establishment, the Head of the Pedagogical University Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods, Professor Lucine Ghulghazaryan, Associate Professor Saribek Hakobyan, Lecturers Aghavni Grigoryan, Alvard Khachatryan, and several 3rd year students visited the High -School N139 after Karen Demirchyan.

During the visit, the school pupils presented to the professoriate of the Pedagogical University a number of issues in a few topics, particularly in regards with the main features of inscribed and circumscribed circles of geometrical objects.

During the discussions, the Lecturers of the Chair also replied to several other questions of interest to the pupils and teachers, spoke about the wide use of the topic in question in daily life, as well as discussed the necessity of creating interdisciplinary links.

Moreover, during the meeting various approaches of solutions of geometrical problems were also proposed, a reference was made to the issue of integration of financial mathematics in the school mathematics programme.

The Head of the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods, Professor Lucine Ghulghazaryan mentioned that such meetings would help the high-school pupils to improve their knowledge.

In her turn, the Director of the High-School N139 after Karen Demirchyan Klara Jhangiryan suggested that the cooperation between the ASPU and the school should be continuous, since they arose great interest among the pupils.
