KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the hall of the ASPU Faculty of Culture hosted a meeting event with the Historian, Armenologist, the RA NAS Foreign Member, Professor of the University of Sorbonne Armen Mutafyan.

During the meeting with the ASPU Faculty of Art Education, the Armenian State Academy of Art, the YSU students and the professoriate, Armen Mutafyan, by presenting the film, introduced the art of his father, renown French-Armenian Artist Zareh Mutafyan.

The film was telling about the biography and creative path of the Armenian artist; the theme of the works varied, comprising still life, portraits, landscapes and other thematic compositions, which were mostly dedicated to the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

The Dean of the Faculty of Art Education Ara Hakobyan thanked for the warm welcome and interesting meeting, assuring that for future pedagogues and artists such initiatives were always much expected and important. The attendees of the meeting agreed that such events should be of continuous nature to bring students closer to arts from younger years.
