The Pedagogical University’s “Wisdom” scientific journal was included into the “Scopus” peer-reviewed scientific database. This is an exceptional occasion and a great accomplishment both for the University and for our country.
The process of getting included into this database was still initiated last year and according to the Scopus regulations six assessment phases had been conducted.
We would like to mention that the “Wisdom” is also included into the RA HEI list of acknowledged scientific journals for publication of the main outcomes and provisions of dissertations. Likewise, it is registered in 15 international peer-reviewed databases such as Scientific Indexing Services (SIS), Journal Impact Factor (JIF), Eurasian Scientific Journal Index (ESJI), Scientific Journal Impact Factor (SJIF), International Scientific Indexing (ISI), European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Sciences (ERIH PLUS), Advanced Scientific Index (ASI), eLIBRARY (РИНЦ), EBSCO, CYBERLENINKA, CROSSREF, PHILPAPERS, WORLDCAT Google Scholar.
The editing staff of the journal consists of 23 members 13 of whom are foreigners and 10 are Armenians.
“Scientific reputation, huge professional audience on an international platform, compliance between the content of articles and the scope of aims and objectives of the journal”; in line with the aforementioned qualitative indicators the experts of the “Scopus” scientific database highlighted the journal’s clear objectives and exclusive topics as its privileges.
The Head of the Chair of Philosophy and Logic after Gevorg Brutyan Ms. Hasmik Hovhannisyan mentioned in her interview to the old.aspu.am that the journal preserved the style of G. Brutyan’ s scientific research activities, and since its creation it had emphasized the importance of the tendency of becoming a platform for young scientists’ growth and development, by ensuring publication of MA and PhD students’ articles in “Chair of Young Scientists”.
Last but not least, Ms. Hasmik Hovhannisyan mentioned that the membership in the DOAJ international directory database for open access journals was also in the process of discussions. The given database indexes and provides access to high quality open scientific journals.
There is still a lot to do, and the success is also obliging.
