Marianna Harutyunyan, Vice-Rector for Human Resources and International Cooperation at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) has participated in the discussions of Work Package (WP) 3 of the Erasmus+ T4GREEN (Transforming Teacher Education for Green and Digital Transition in Armenia and Moldova) project.
Within the framework of WP3, meetings were organized with the Armenian partners of the project at Yerevan State University (YSU). Also, online meetings were held with Moldovan partners.
Marianna Harutyunyan emphasized the urgency of developing a concept of teacher education for the Armenian education system, stressing that it should set standards for the development of teacher education in Armenia.
During the YSU-hosted meeting, representatives of ASPU, YSU, M. Nalbandyan State University of Shirak, National Center for Education Development and Innovation, Armenian Center for Education Policy and Management discussed the process of concept development, its structure and expected deadlines.
The series of WP3 meetings then continued with Moldovan partners in an online format. Representatives of Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University of Chisinau, Alecu Russo State University of Bălți, and Public Association Educational Center PRO DIDACTICA presented the Moldovan approaches and national priorities for developing the concept of teacher education, clarified the further actions and directions of the Moldovan working group.
Let us add that under the project it is planned to develop a national concept of teacher education in Armenia and Moldova in line with green and digital-oriented teacher education in the European Union. Also, standards will be set for the development of teacher education in both countries.
