Writer Rouben Maroukhyan Conducted the Lesson

The freshmen of the Faculty of Primary Education, Department of Pedagogy and Methodology (elementary edu.) hosted the children’s writer, playwright, poet, producer Rouben Maroukhyan. The meeting was organized by the Associate Professors of the Chair of Armenian Language and its Teaching Methods after Ashot Ter-Grigoryan L.Avagyan, E.Mnatsakanyan, and L. Ter-Grigoryan.

On this occasion, Rouben Maroukhyan spoke about art, particularly referring to literature, and especially highlighted the value of the art of speech, stressing its irreplaceable role in the process of formation of a child’s value system. Furthermore, the writer replied to the questions asked by the audience, as well as demonstrated how to make puppets, and performed an episode from the puppets theatre with the help of students.

At the end, Rouben Maroukhyan presented the famous Egyptian fable about the language, after which sent the following message to the students, “Keep our language pure; it is our treasure, our identity, and the pledge of our existence”.
We would also like to mention that among those present at the meeting were Producer M. Rafaelyan, the Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education H.

Khachatryan, lecturers of the Chair of Armenian Language and its Teaching Methods E. Mnatsakanyan, A. Mouradyan, L. Avagyan, the MA students of the same Faculty, and members of the Literature club.
