Today, a series of meetings headed “You and the Classroom” was launched by the initiative of the Pedagogical University’s newly created Department of e-Education Management.
The aim of the initiative was to discuss with those present the process of operation of the Google classroom, the priority issues, and to outline further steps of the Department in reference with the project.
Among those present at the initial meeting were the responsible persons for the Classroom at the Faculty of Philology, Faculty of History and Law, and Faculty of Education Psychology and Sociology, as well as the representatives of the University’s students’’ association.
The latter discussed the questions that interested them about the programme and made suggestions, particularly regarding the deadlines of lectures and assignments, clarification and simplification of the assessment system, selection of submitting the assignment in hard copy or on an online platform, students’ activity assessment in the system and other related issues.
In her turn, the Head of the Department of e-Education Management Anoush Sargsyan thoroughly explained the possibilities granted by the system, noting that staying in touch with the lecturer by means of electronic correspondence was dictated by the time.
Likewise, she stressed out that the Department was elaborating on a clear procedure that would soon resolve the existing issues and provide wider opportunities to ensure proper operation of the system, and due organization of electronic classes.
The series of meetings headed “You and Classroom” will be of continuous nature; every Thursday similar discussions will be organized with the representatives of different Faculties.
