Two-month lectures at the University of Macerata in Italy

Rita Gevorgyan, Head of the All-University Chair at ASPU, recently visited the University of Macerata (Italy) for a working visit.

Within the framework of a two-month mobility project, the guest lecturer delivered lectures for the MA students of the Department of Economics and Law at the University of Macerata.

Within the framework of the "Strategic Management" course, the students had the opportunity to apply a situation analysis and develop their practical skills along with theoretical knowledge.
In a conversation with old.aspu.am, Associate Professor Gevorgyan said the students had analyzed the strategies of successful companies and presented their opinions.

Before the start of the course, Rita Gevorgyan discussed the methodological and teaching aspects of the course with Elena Cedrola, Dean of the Department of Economics and Law at the University of Macerata, which were later approved during a Faculty meeting.

Later, Elena Cedrola and Rita Gevorgyan had a series of meetings with MA students and research students. The meetings focused on the study of business and marketing models, the process of internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Apart from lectures, a series of consultation meetings were held with Marta Giovannetti and Julia Amadio, who are involved in the Chair's research programme. The sides dwelt on marketing management, education and modern technologies, digitalization in economy, etc. "The visit was accompanied by interesting meetings and effective discussions. Together with John Francis McCourt, Rector of the University of Macerata, we discussed the opportunities for further cooperation. The meetings with From the point of view of research work, Vice-Rector Claudio Socci and Francesco Séverin were the most effective from the perspective of research activity, " said Rita Gevorgyan.

She also highlighted the discussions on the emotional state of students during the organization of online exams, cooperation issues in the context of internationalization, five main strategic directions of the University of Macerata, funding opportunities for researchers applying for postdoctoral scholarships, access to career development, mobility and training programmes.

Rita Gevorgyan also stressed the effectiveness of discussions on the quality assurance policy, monitoring and review of educational programmes of the University of Macerata, modernization of educational courses, etc. “Within the framework of the programme, I had the opportunity to participate in lectures full of innovative ideas of leading experts in the banking system and computer technologies organized within the framework of cooperation between the University of Macerata and employers, aimed at the application of metaverse in economics."
