ARMENIAN RELIGIOUS-SPIRITUAL ORGANIZATIONS. HISTORY AND MODERNITY
The course mainly discusses the history and modern activities of Armenian religious-spiritual organizations, such as the Armenian Apostolic Church and its hierarchical Sees, the Armenian Catholic church, the Armenian Protestant religious organization etc.
In addition to the historical events the course will focus on activities of Church organizations in Armenia and Diaspora.
In the end of the course the students will receive a stable and well-grounded knowledge about the Armenian religious-spiritual organizations.
The Students have to know basic concepts during the course.
The purpose of the course is:
- to develop students' knowledge about the role of Armenian religious-spiritual organizations.
- to teach the students the historical and modern issues of Armenian religious-spiritual organizations.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- know the main facts and conclusions concerning the course
- do independent theoretical and practical research work concerning the history of Armenian religious-spiritual organizations
- make a comparison between different Armenian religious-spiritual organizations.
