BASICS OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
The course "Fundamentals of ergotherapy" provides theoretical and practical basic knowledge about ergotherapy practical approaches and principles that are used in working with children with disorders of the locomotor system, behavioral and emotional spheres.
It presents opportunities for applying occupational therapy approaches and principles.
The aim of the course is:
- to present the possibilities of applying theoretical approaches and ways of occupational therapy in the field of rehabilitation, to study and propose the possibilities of applying practical approaches.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
To present the main ergotherapy directions and approaches
- To recognize and present the effectiveness of using professional approaches during rehabilitation intervention
- To apply the received theoretical and practical knowledge in the process of rehabilitation and pedagogic-psychological support.
- To combine practical approaches and features of ergotherapy intervention in teamwork.
- To evaluate the completeness of the necessary information in the processes of ergotherapy intervention formation and implementation, proposing the necessary measures for their application.
- To develop effective communication skills with colleagues and other professionals in personal and professional spheres.
- To develop joint ergotherapy intervention decision-making and team-work responsibility abilities, to create positive and stable social relationships.
