EMPLOYMENT AS A RESEARCH ISSUE

This course examines the impact of neurological problems on individuals' performance in life roles and activities. The course includes an in-depth study and interpretation of neuromuscular and cognitive elements. The practical application of theories, assessment, and intervention approaches to addressing problems in various neurological diseases are explored.

The aim of the course is:

  • Form and develop skills and abilities to perform research and analytical activities, theoretical justifications and abilities to analyze the results in the field of ergotherapy in order to satisfy the employment of individuals and target groups and the activities carried out in various spheres of life.

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

  • To describe and recognize the term employment and the scientific requirements of doing research work.
  • To know the provisions of employment performance analysis and the characteristics of professional activities in various fields of physical and mental care.
  • To describe the background of employment research in different fields of activity.
  • To classify and demonstrate employment research skills in educational, health, social, specialized and rehabilitation institutions.
  • To apply analytical thinking, to overcome the problems of persons with disabilities and/or employment, life activity restrictions and to organize the rehabilitation process.
  • To combine professional and research approaches necessary for the study of employment issues in the process of ergotherapy.
  • To develop professional employment research materials in Armenian and a second language, to develop critical, creative thinking of the problems of people with functional limitations and the ability to convey them.
  • To observe the rules of professional ethics while carrying out research works.
