PHILOSOPHY

The goal of the Philosophy course is to acquire not only a range of ontological, epistemological, moral, aesthetic, and socio-political issues from past and contemporary philosophical works, but also the conceptual means for identifying what makes a question a philosophical – as opposed to psychological, scientific, historical or sociological – question by means of close readings of philosophical works. Philosophy is a generalized combination of knowledge system, and the course involves explanation of the world-view, axiological and other vital issues, the knowledge of which is of primary importance to the field of education. As an academic discipline Philosophy examines the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence. It promotes to critical and logically consistent thinking. The course aims at the development of high quality, multidisciplinary educated teachers, to adequately evaluate the role and place of a human being in a given society and environment, by keeping balanced value system or axiology.

Bachelor Course for second year. 2 credits.

60 hours general from which 22 hours lectures, 8 hours practical lessons, 30 hours students’ independent work.
