PRESCHOOL PEDAGOGY

The course studies the patterns of development, upbringing, and educational processes of preschool children, the features of the child's role in them, the formation of his personality, and complete development.  In this context, a number of issues are presented and discussed, namely:

  • scientific foundations of preschool pedagogy, research methods,
  • the place of preschool pedagogy in the system of sciences, modern branches,
  • documents regulating preschool education,
  • current problems of preparatory pedagogy,
  • conceptual approaches to education, priorities,
  • factors of development and personality formation,
  • characteristics of child development, age periods,
  • characteristics of early and preschool children's development, achievements,
  • the final results, capabilities represented by standard fields,
  • the role of play in the process of child development.

The aim of the course is:

  • to contribute to students' acquisition of knowledge in the field of preschool pedagogy, to the development of the ability to discuss, analyze, compare and contrast the issues of that field,
  • to form the student's abilities to work with preschoolers, to design and implement pedagogical methodical work, to highlight one's own gaps, to fill them.

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

  • submit the documents expressing the content of preschool education, children's rights,
  • comment on the scientific foundations of preschool pedagogy, current issues,
  • define and generalize the features and patterns of preschool development,
  • to analyze the principles, methods, and features of the organization of the pedagogical process in the National University of Science and Technology, considering the standard results and capabilities.
  • to plan and design pedagogical methodical work aimed at the development of preschoolers, proposing methods, methods, ways of organizing work used with children at each age stage,
  • to carry out research works, to demonstrate one's achievements in them, the ability to identify, discuss and fill gaps.

The total volume of the "Preschool Pedagogy" course is 180 hours, of which 75 are classroom hours. Of the classroom hours, 45 are lectures, 30 are seminars/practical classes.
