RESEARCH DATA ANALYSIS METHODOLOGY IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
This course focuses on teaching the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out research work within a professional setting. Within the scope of the subject, students acquire visual-practical knowledge of doing research work, which they apply in practice. Study the stages of research organization, basic approaches to research data collection and analysis, and specifics of research work in occupational therapy.
The aim of the course is:
- Develop fundamental approaches to conducting scientific research and expand students' knowledge and skills to perform research work.
- To present the main stages of doing research work in ergotherapy, the methods of collecting and analyzing research data.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- To present and describe the methods of performing scientific research works and posing research problems in ergotherapy.
- To recognize and interpret scientific and practical approaches to research data collection and analysis used in ergotherapy.
- To generalize the possibilities of carrying out professional activities and research in educational, health, social, specialized and rehabilitation institutions.
- To select and classify the research methods used in ergotherapy, independently scientifically analyze and interpret the research results.
- To apply the modern research methodology of ergotherapy for the research and rehabilitation process of people with disabilities and/or employment, life activity limitations.
- To compare modern scientific research achievements and achievements, to apply a model of independent research.
- To select and develop professional materials in Armenian and a second language, to develop critical, creative thinking and the ability to convey them.
- Ability to observe the rules of professional ethics while carrying out research work, develop joint decisions, conduct group work and take responsibility for teamwork when solving professional problems.
