SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL ADJUSTMENT IN NEUROLOGICAL PROBLEMS
This course examines the impact of neurological problems on individuals' performance in life roles and activities. The course includes an in-depth study and interpretation of neuromuscular and cognitive elements. The practical application of theories, assessment, and intervention approaches to addressing problems in various neurological diseases are explored.
The aim of the course is:
- To present the experimental approaches and principles of ergotherapy intervention and assessment of the employment problem of persons with neurological problems/elderly and their family members.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- To describe and recognize the ergotherapy approaches and features of assessing the employment problems of persons/elderly with neurological problems and their family members.
- To know the provisions of employment performance analysis and the specifics of professional activities that arise during neurological problems.
- To describe the background of research on employment caused by neurological problems.
- To classify the employment problems of people with neurological problems/elderly and their family members and their evaluation approaches in different stages of the disease.
- To apply analytical thinking when examining the employment issues of persons with neurological problems/elderly and their family members.
- To combine professional and research approaches necessary for the study of employment issues in the process of ergotherapy.
- To develop professional research materials for employment caused by neurological problems in Armenian and a second language, to develop critical, creative thinking of the problems of people with functional limitations and the ability to convey them.
- To observe the rules of professional ethics while carrying out research works.
