SOCIAL AND SCIENTIFIC PERSPECTIVES ON OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

This course explores the social and scientific perspectives of occupational therapy practice in working with diverse visitor groups. Within the framework of this course, students carry out research work with different groups of visitors, solving different problems before them.

An in-depth study of theoretical and practical skills in ergotherapy intervention, the research work is aimed at the development of analytical and practical skills in the provisions of the fields of study.

The aim of the course is to develop among students the research skills and abilities to carry out socially oriented scientific work in the field of ergotherapy, the ability to collect and analyze research results.

Develop analytical thinking in researching the employment of vulnerable groups in society to define and analyze the problem setting.

At the end of the course, the student will be able to:

  • To present and carry out research work, demonstrating analytical thinking, to meet the employment needs of the target group.
  • To describe the provisions for studying the characteristics of professional activities in different areas of social, physical and mental care.
  • To recognize the necessary research areas related to the occupational therapy process
  • To select and organize and separate areas of activity of educational (including special and inclusive education), social and health institutions
  • To apply professional skills in social research activities
  • To bring together the necessary areas for social process research from the perspective of ergotherapy intervention.
  • To develop and select survey interpretations;

to use the achievements of modern science and education (technology, methods, programs, literature, etc.) when solving developmental, educational and professional problems.
