THE FORMATION OF CHESS BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE AT NSU
The course "Formation of chess background knowledge at NSU" describes in detail:
- The essence of the areas of development of the senior preschooler, L. S. Vygotsky's approaches to levels of development. the role of prior knowledge in development,
- organization of work aimed at the areas of development of senior preschoolers using the playground,
- the organization of work aimed at the areas of development of the senior preschooler with the use of game pieces,
- essence of problem-based learning and problem-solving tactics, PRES formula,
- Presentation and discussion of chess tasks. PARLA method.
The aim of the course is:
- to convey knowledge about modern approaches to the organization of preschool education, the sectoral development of preschool children and the role of chess knowledge in it,
- form ideas about the chess playing field, pieces, their directions of movement, combining them with each other,
- to form the student's abilities and skills to creatively build and implement the preschool development process.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- to present the role of chess knowledge in the field development of preschool children,
- to form basic ideas about the chess playing field, chess pieces, applying them for the benefit of sectorial development,
- present problematic situations with chess content and propose alternative ways.
- plan the work carried out with children, clarifying the goal, tasks, expected results,
- present the material with chess content in a phased version,
- define the tools and means of work implementation,
- using interactive methods to ensure the activity and involvement of all children,
- to promote alternative solutions proposed by children in problematic situations.
The volume of the "Formation of chess background knowledge at NSU" course is 90 hours, of which 12 hours are in the classroom and 78 are outside the classroom. Of the classroom hours, 4 are seminars/practical classes, 8 are devoted to lectures.
