THEORY AND PRACTICE OF PRESCHOOL EDUCATION
The "Theory and Practice of Preschool Education" course describes in detail:
- scientific foundations of preschool education and methodological features of problem solving,
- early childhood: a socio-cultural and pedagogical phenomenon, age divisions,
- matching the characteristics of preschool development with the end results and abilities defined by the RA state educational standard of preschool education, the determination of the child's achievements,
- the principles and methods of organizing the pedagogical process, promoting an inclusive educational environment in kindergarten.
- the requirements presented to the modern kindergarten, the pedagogue, with mastery of the principles of inclusiveness,
- Pedagogical support - the basis of the organization of the preschool educational process, the features of pedagogical work with children who need additional support,
- peculiarities of organizing media education in kindergarten,
- the importance of the formation of chess knowledge in preschool age and the pedagogical ways of its organization,
- the ways of determining the achievements of the preschooler.
The aim of the course is:
- to communicate knowledge about the modern approaches to the organization of preschool education, the specifics of the sectoral development of preschool children, the normative documents regulating preschool education in the Republic of Armenia,
- to form the abilities and skills of the student to creatively build and implement the preschool development, education, pedagogical process, provide pedagogical support, and determine the level of the child's development.
At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- to interpret and discuss the legal normative documents on the organization of preschool education,
- present the features of preschool children's sectoral development, compare them with standard results, abilities and analyze them,
- justify the correlation of preschool theory and practice in the work with the child,
- to compare the peculiarities of the organization of play activities in different age groups of the kindergarten, the child's achievements obtained from them.
- to implement various pedagogic-methodical targeted, planned process in the direction of education and development of preschool children,
- plan and practically apply purposeful methods, pedagogical ways of carrying out effective activities with preschool children and managing and coordinating them,
- identify the results of activities organized with children and make conclusions, demonstrating reflexive abilit
The volume of the "Theory and Practice of Preschool Education" course is 180 hours, of which 75 hours are in the classroom and 105 are outside the classroom. Of the classroom hours, 30 are seminar/practical classes, 45 are devoted to lectures. During extracurricular hours, the student performs reading and processing of literature, analytical and research work, writes essays, prepares for the next lesson.
