A two-day conference headed “Current State of Chess Education and its Development Tendencies” was organised jointly by the World Chess Federation (FIDE), the RA MES, the Pedagogical University and the Chess Academy of Armenia.

Among the events dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan, the scientific and philosophical recognition of the poet's activity is of particular importance.

“Tumanyan is unique, Tumanyan is great, Tumanyan is in each of us,” ASPU Rector Ruben Mirzakhanyan said during an international conference dedicated to the great Armenian writer.
